I am Ahmad, a sophomore cybersecurity student at Wentworth. I have internship experience at State Street and hands-on work with Linux, networking, and small security labs. I am looking for an opportunity to keep learning and contribute to a real team.

Projects I can explain from start to finish.

These are student projects and active lab work. The point is not to make them sound bigger than they are. The point is to show how I approach a problem, test it, and document what happened.

01 Course lab

Isolated Traffic-Flood Lab

Built a controlled two-VM lab in VirtualBox to see how a test service behaved under a traffic flood. Captured the traffic in Wireshark and measured the system impact with Linux tools.

  • Kept the test inside an isolated Ubuntu lab
  • Compared baseline, peak, and recovery load averages
  • Wrote a mitigation summary covering rate limits, monitoring, filtering, and layered defenses

02 Active build

Raspberry Pi Home Lab

Use a Raspberry Pi 4 as a small Linux server for learning service management, patching, permissions, logs, and self-hosted tools without putting personal files on the box.

  • Run Debian on a Raspberry Pi 4 with 128 GB of storage
  • Used the Pi for Pi-hole, local automation, and Linux administration
  • Rebuild cleanly when needed and keep the environment limited to lab work

03 Team prototype

Clinical Trial Matching Prototype

Co-built a hackathon prototype that matched patient profiles to clinical-trial criteria. My focus was a clear demo flow, explainable eligibility rules, and the privacy questions that come with sensitive data.

  • Turned eligibility criteria into an understandable matching flow
  • Helped shape and present the working team prototype
  • Discussed privacy and security limits instead of treating them as an afterthought

About me

Early in my career, serious about the foundation.

I learn fast, but I do not pretend to know what I have not learned yet. I ask questions, write down what matters, and stay with a problem until I can explain it clearly. Right now, I am building the range needed for an entry-level IT or cybersecurity role.

At Wentworth, I am pursuing a B.S. in Cybersecurity with an expected graduation year of 2029. My coursework includes programming fundamentals, networks, security principles, and discrete mathematics.
